Independent Business School, London College of International Business Studies

Teaching staff

LCIBS teachers are predominantly experienced business professionals selected not only for their academic and professional qualifications and their ability to teach, but also for their commercial experience both in the UK and internationally. This is to ensure that students get an insight not only into modern business practice in the UK but also an essential international perspective.  It is also to ensure that the topics included on the course will be directly relevant to the real demands of the workplace and that the standards the college asks its students to meet will be in keeping with those expected by the management of commercial organisations. Many of the college’s teachers also have ongoing commitments beyond teaching, so their knowledge is kept fresh, and set in the ‘real world’.

In addition to looking for teachers who are well qualified, both professionally and academically, the college also tries to select the kind of individuals who enjoy meeting people from all over the world and who have a strong desire to make their lessons stimulating and enjoyable. The college asks its teachers to take their teaching role seriously, to approach their responsibilities with the highest level of professionalism, and to try and instil the same high level of professionalism in their students.
