Before your course

Before your studies, we can help you in a number of different ways:

  • Accommodation ~ If you need accommodation in London, we'll be happy to provide you with information on various accommodation options including details of several student hostels and halls of residence allowing you to arrange your accommodation directly with the accommodation providers. If you prefer 'host-family' accommodation (i.e. a room in a family home) we can arrange this on your behalf. Host-family accommodation will be close to public transport in a residential area of London. Travelling time to the college will be approximately 30 to 60 minutes. If we arrange host family accommodation for you, we can also arrange for a driver to meet you at the airport on your arrival in the UK and drive you to your accommodation.
  • Students requiring visas ~ LCIBS has been licensed by the UK Border Agency to enrol international students under Tier 4 of the Points Based System. If you require a visa to attend a Diploma course at the college, we are therefore able to provide you with a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) to facilitate your visa application. If you will be attending a Certificate course, we can provide you with a Student Visitor Letter to enable you to apply to come to the UK as a Student Visitor.
  • Student Insurance ~ You may wish to insure yourself against loss of course fees in the event of illness or accident, either to yourself or a close relative. If so, we can provide information on an insurance policy specifically designed for overseas students. We strongly recommend that you take out suitable insurance cover so please contact our admissions office if you'd like further details.
