Starting your course
We want to ensure that you settle into life at the college as quickly as possible, and that you have a successful start to your course. On your first day, you'll take part in an induction programme, during which you'll be given essential information and advice about your studies at the college. The induction programme will also give you the opportunity to meet other new students and senior members of the college staff. You'll also be given your first term's timetable. On your second day, your classes begin and you'll have the opportunity to meet other students who'll be returning to college for their second, third, fourth or fifth term. After just a few days of classes, you'll find that you're quickly settling into your studies.
On your first day, you'll also be given information about the following services:
- ISIC (International Student Identity Card) ~ Students on full-time courses will be able to purchase an International Student Identity Card. This will enable you to access thousands of offers and discounts in the UK and abroad on accommodation, travel, activities and entertainments.
- TFL Student Discount Scheme ~ LCIBS is a registered institution for the Transport for London (TFL) Student Discount Scheme, which means that LCIBS students on full-time courses of 6 months or longer can obtain discounts on London's buses, Tube, Docklands Light Railway and trams.
