"Before studying at LCIBS, I had worked as an Administrator in Sierra Leone with CONCERN UNIVERSAL, a British charity involved in community development projects. CONCERN UNIVERSAL sponsored my studies at LCIBS. I chose to study at the college because it offered exactly the training I was looking for to develop my finance and administration skills. Studying there was so much fun! I thought the college was excellent and I found the staff notably brilliant! After completing my course, my plan was to return to work in a managerial position in the field of humanitarian activities. I am now working in Sierra Leone for the European Union Humanitarian Aid Office (ECHO) as their Administration/Program Officer, one of the most senior local positions within the organisation. My duties include acting as the principal contact point for all queries for the international staff, management of the division's finances, undertaking field visits to monitor and evaluate partners' projects and writing up analysis and reports for submission to Brussels. I'm getting on fine in my job and it's very interesting...but I miss all the staff and my friends at the college!"
