"After successfully completing my studies at LCIBS, gaining my diploma 'with distinction', I secured employment on the marketing staff of a PR agency based in Japan, with both Japanese and foreign company clients. My team's main clients are the Asian and African divisions of the Toyota Motor Company, for whom we devise PR and marketing communications proposals for each division's respective markets. My work requires me to go on business trips to various countries in order to discuss product launches with the local staff. My studies at LCIBS have been useful for me, not just in terms of the subjects I studied, but also because studying at an international college made me aware that different nationalities have different cultures and a different 'common sense’, and what is 'common sense' in one culture is not the same as in other cultures. So, in international business, knowing and understanding about your customers and business partners is a very basic but very important thing."
