STUDENT    FOCUS

Randel Van Heerden, South Africa

"Upon finishing my international tourism course at LCIBS, my immediate aim will be to gain further work experience within the travel industry. My ultimate career goal is to open either my own Guest House or my own Travel Agency in Cape Town. For both these reasons, the course I'm doing now is going to be very helpful for me. In fact, it's already been helpful for me, as while studying, I've also been managing to do some part-time work in a travel agency in London. This has meant that I've already been able to put into practice some of the things I've already done on the course. My studies so far have also given me a better insight into the travel industry overall and, from a general business skills viewpoint, I've gained that extra confidence to do things correctly."
