DIPLOMA IN
TRAVEL TRADE SKILLS
Course Code: DTS

The Diploma in Travel Trade Skills (DTS) is designed for those who would like to enrol on the Diploma in Travel & Tourism (DTT), but are unable to study for 6 months. Unlike the DTT, the DTS is available on a fast-track basis and can be completed in as little as 3 months. If you enrol on the DTS, you will still cover most of the areas included on the DTT. (If you can study for 6 months, the DTT is likely to be the more suitable course for you, though the DTS can also be completed over a 6-month period on a full-time basis, or over a longer period on a part-time basis).

  • Fares & Ticketing Level 1
  • Fares & Ticketing Level 2
  • Galileo Computerised Reservation Systems
  • Oral Communication for Business
  • Business Writing
  • Computing Skills (If required. See Subject Exchange)
  • Job Search Strategies & Techniques

   Timings for DTS :

  • Fast-track:        3 months (1 term)
    30 classroom hours per week + private study
  • Full-time:          6 months (2 terms)
    15 classroom hours a week + private study
  • Part-time:         1 year+ (3 terms or more)
    3 to 12 classroom hours a week + private study
  • Start dates:     January, May, August, September.
