The LCIBS student body comprises students with a variety of educational and professional backgrounds and who come from a wide range of countries. This provides students with an opportunity to broaden their horizons and to develop their cross-cultural awareness and understanding, while overcoming the inhibitions that some international students may have about taking part in class discussions with students of other nationalities. Again, all these experiences can be considerably advantageous to students who later embark on university courses. It also provides students with contacts in London that can be of great help to them during their stay in the UK for their degree studies, as well as contacts from around the world that may prove invaluable in later life.
