OVERVIEW

LCIBS' courses are career-oriented training courses. This means that they're about giving you the knowledge and capabilities you'll need for the career you want to follow. For this reason, the majority of our students are those who aim to gain employment upon completing their courses. However, our courses are also very suitable for international students who wish to gain entry to business-related university degree courses in the UK, at either undergraduate or postgraduate level. This is because by completing one of our programmes, such students will be able to prepare for their future university studies in a number of different ways. The ways in which our programmes can help international students prepare for a university education are explained in detail in this section.

Wei Liang Liang, China

"Hello, my name is Wei Liang Liang. I studied in LCIBS on the International Business Management Diploma. As a Chinese student, I had some problems with the language and the subjects. It was difficult for me to study Marketing, Economics, Management and Accounting. I used to have a lot of questions after the lecture, but the teachers always encourage me and help me to figure out the questions I had. I also learned how to react as a businessman, how to think as a businessman and how to do marketing research. I got my diploma at LCIBS and I am now at university studying Business Administration where I have just finished my first year and passed all my first year exams in Economics, Accounting, Marketing and so on. What I have learned in LCIBS is very useful and helpful for me to complete my first degree."

Klara Holeckova, Czech Republic

"I have a degree in French and two years' work experience, and came to study in London to improve my career prospects. At first, I studied English but then decided to do a business course. I spent more then 3 months looking for a suitable college, and LCIBS was the only one in my mind that offered high quality, an excellent location, and an affordable price. I am very pleased I studied here. The organisation is brilliant, the course content well balanced and, although I'm already 27, I also seemed to discover a talent for economics, accounting and finance, though that may be just thanks to the teacher whose enthusiasm, knowledge and professionalism motivated me to stay focused and work hard! All the subjects on the course also complemented each other; at the end of 6 months I felt I had completed a big jigsaw puzzle. Finally, my studies also helped me to get into university for a one year MSc in IT and Finance, which I will start this October. So overall I firmly believe that my education in the UK will open the door to the world of business in any country."
