"I teach communication skills in the marketing and economics department of the Hogeschool Holland, a business school in Amsterdam. It was interesting for me to attend a course at LCIBS covering marketing and communication studies. What attracted me to the college initially was the flexibility of the programmes, as I could select a course of a suitable duration as well as the areas of study that I wanted to concentrate on. I've enjoyed it here and what I've learnt will without doubt be useful for me when I return to my job in Holland. Like a tailor-made certificate course, a tailor-made diploma course allows you to choose the subjects that will most benefit your own career, and the title of your final diploma award depends on which subjects you choose. To be eligible for a diploma award, you need to select (and successfully complete) a minimum of 5 subjects. The subjects you select can be taken from the following list:

- Professional Business Communication (oral & written)
- Sales & Negotiation Techniques
- Sales Promotion & Direct Marketing
- Specialist Marketing Topics
- Tourism Industry Skills and Operations

In making your selection, you should note the following points:
- If you choose 'Specialist Marketing Topics', one of your other subjects must be 'Principles of Marketing'.
- If you choose 'Advanced Public Relations', one of your other subjects must be 'Essential Public Relations'.
- If you choose 'Managerial Finance', one of your other subjects must be 'Financial Accounting'.

Timings for Tailor-Made Diplomas :
The exact duration needed to complete a tailor-made diploma course will depend on the number of subjects you study and on exactly which subjects you select. However, the MINIMUM durations will be:
- Fast-track: 3 months / 1 term (minimum)
- Full-time: 6 months / 2 terms (minimum)
- Part-time: 1 year / 3 terms (minimum)
